Anywhen 日本語

The time zone app you never type into.

Drag the time axis and every city you added moves at once. "When it is 9:00 in London, what time is it in Tokyo and New York?" becomes something you read instead of something you calculate.

1

Drag the time axis

The cursor in the middle never moves. The timeline does. Let go and it keeps gliding, then settles on 15-minute steps. One tap brings you back to now; a calendar takes you to another day.

2

See day and night

Every row is painted with a day and night band computed from sunrise and sunset, so you can tell it is the middle of the night over there without reading a single number.

3

Never miss a date change

The thing people get wrong is not the hour, it is the day. Every row carries a +1 / −1 badge measured from the zone at the top of the list.

4

It never goes online

Anywhen makes no network requests and has no accounts. The IANA time zone database ships inside the app, so it behaves the same in airplane mode, and it collects nothing about you.

This is what it looks like in motion

Drag the axis, every city moves. Tap Now to return. Add a city. 25 seconds of the real app.

Questions

How is this different from a world clock?

A world clock lists the time right now. Anywhen lets you move the axis itself, so a question like "if we meet at 10 tomorrow, what time is it for them?" is read off the screen rather than typed into a converter.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The app never makes a network request. The IANA time zone database is bundled, and daylight saving changes are computed by the app rather than taken from the device.

Which cities and languages are supported?

100 time zones covering the major cities, and 16 languages including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French and German. Search works with city names, country names, IANA IDs and abbreviations.

How much does it cost?

It is free. There are no in-app purchases and no ads.

Is there an Android version?

Yes. Anywhen is on Google Play with the same features and the same 16 languages as the iPhone and iPad version, and it is free on both.
